Quality & responsibility
docconnect sees itself as a professionally oriented workspace and exchange environment. Quality and responsible handling of medical information are at the center of all activities.
Professional quality
The professional quality of consultations is based on:
- the qualification and experience of the participating consulting physicians
- the structured recording of medical questions
- collegial exchange at eye level
docconnect does not make medical decisions itself. The professional assessments serve to support and complement clinical decision-making on site.
Responsibility of the participants
All participants act within clearly defined roles and responsibilities:
- consulting physicians contribute their expertise in an advisory capacity
- physicians seeking consultation bear responsibility for diagnostics and therapy
- specialty coordinators ensure structured processes
Thus, medical responsibility always remains where it belongs: with the treating physicians.
Data protection & confidentiality
The protection of sensitive medical data is a central principle of docconnect and complies with the high EU requirements for data protection and security – GDPR-compliant.
- exchange of medical information exclusively in the protected cloud area
- role-based access
- no processing of case data on the public website
- use of data protection-compliant technical infrastructure
All participants commit to responsible and confidential handling of the provided information.
Voluntary work & independence
The participation of consulting physicians is voluntary.
docconnect does not pursue economic interests and is independent of commercial providers.
This independence is a prerequisite for:
- trustful collaboration
- professional openness
- collegial exchange without economic pressure
Transparency
docconnect attaches importance to transparency:
- in the project structure
- in the processes
- in the presentation of collaborations and participants
